6 Rules of the Road Prayer

“Lord Jesus, thank You for THIS DAY, You have made it and I will rejoice in it [1]. Help me to live in it and not to take anxious thought for, or worry about tomorrow, as You commanded [2], help me LIVE ONE DAY AT   A TIME”

Guide me ONE STEP AT A TIME, as You empower me to do the task set before me, and to give it all the energy and focus it requires, until You let me know to move on.

I seek to GAIN YOUR PEACE that passes understanding [3] and want to walk in that peace every moment, waiting, trusting, and abiding [4]. Help me to GUARD THAT PEACE, not entertaining thoughts of doubt, worry or fear, as well as recognizing and resisting temptations, immediately presenting my requests and concerns before Your throne of grace [5].

When I meet with circumstances or situations that seem to be overwhelming to me, let me remember that NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU [6], and that since I am in You, and You are in me, NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH YOU.

I want to live the abundant life You promised me [7]. Help me to CELEBRATE EVERY LITTLE BLESSING, no matter how small, and every gift of grace I see, enjoying and being grateful for the awesome and wonderful gift of life! [8].

I know YOU LOVE ME FOR WHO I AM, and NOT FOR HOW I PERFORM, and You delight in me. That comforts my soul. Transform me    into the person You want me to be [9]. I rest in Your love and acceptance. Praise Your grace and mercy! In Your Precious Name I Pray, Amen
