December was a very busy month for us. We know all the donations we have received this holiday season have been the most we ever have received. People just keep coming in and asking for our shopping carts to bring their donations in. We have worked very hard in keeping the bags sorted and in crates, but some days we can’t keep up. Even our “super sorters” Jim and Dolly have had a hard time keeping up and we never thought we would see that. Some of our donations have come from churches, schools, Scout troops, hair salons in Doylestown, organizations and many individuals in the Central Bucks area. We also have received monetary donations which we use during the year to purchase meats and other items as we need them.
Our numbers have gone up over 100 more people since October, but we are still able to serve our clients what we feel is necessary to feed their families. We hear from many of our families that come in each month how much they rely on and appreciate what we do for them. Hopefully, we will continues to be here for them for many years.
