Our Missions

World Mission Offering  For the 2011 World Mission Offering, we will be collecting funds to support the neglected and abused women in Nagaland of North East India throughout the month of October. Our gifts make possible the ministries of nearly 100 long-term International Ministries Missionaries and more than 1,500 short-term missionaries and volunteers working in over 70 countries with 220 partner organizations, including Evangelistic associations, hospitals, schools, publishing companies, and others responding to Christ's call.

CROP Walk In many parts of the world, people have to walk many miles each day for the basic necessities of food and water. We have the opportunity to share their experience and to ease their burden by participating in the CROP Walk! Here are the ways you can be involved: (1) become a walker. There are two routes; 6 miles and 1 mile. Each are on sidewalks in the Doylestown area; (2) sponsor a walker. Contribute a flat amount or pay per mile walked; (3) volunteer to sit at a table and greet walkers from our congregation; (4) volunteer to sit or stand at intersections to help walkers cross the street and to mark the change in direction. There are many ways you can make a difference in the lives of others. A portion of the money raised stays right here in our community to help the work of FISH.

One Great Hour of Sharing  Through OGHS we care for God's treasures. By sharing some of our earthly treasure, our money, our time, our energy, aid is sent when disaster strikes. Refugees receive help in the long term as they rebuild their lives. People receive education, health care, tools, seeds, and resources to improve their communities. In 2011, we collected throughout the month of June to support these people and resources.

Retired Ministers & Missionaries Offering Each fall over 3,000 checks are mailed to retired American Baptist ministers and missionaries, or their widowed spouses, who have shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ with countless thousands. You can help say "thank you" to these men and women of faith by contributing to the annual Retired Ministers and Missionaries Offering. In 2010, we collected during December, and we hope to do the same for 2011.

BabyManna Each year 1,200 babies are born into poverty in our community. It is during the formative first year that poor families or caregivers resort to feeding their babies sugar water or watered down formula which are obviously poor substitutes for proper nutrition. We can help make this a special Mother's day weekend for struggling mothers in the Delaware Valley. There can be no greater figt to a mother than to provide her with the means to ensure that her baby is well fed and will grow up healthy. In 2011, we collected during the month of May.

Philadelphia Baptist Association  The New Britain Baptist Church is a proud member of the Philadelphia Baptist Association (PBA), and a supporter of all missions the PBA participates in.
